We are Loah, a group of students from Newquay Tretherras who are competing in the Young Enterprise programme. We retrieve microplastics found on our local beaches and in our ocean and aim to give them a new purpose.

The Young Enterprise programme is a competition open to schools across the United Kingdom. A group of students must come up with a business idea and compete in a series of events in order to win the Young Enterprise title. We are a group of Newquay Tretherras students who aim to retrieve microplastics from our beaches in Cornwall and give them a second life - through jewellery!

Did you know . . .  Between 4.8 and 12.7 million tones of plastic often isn’t recycled, and gets sent to landfills where it could remain for hundreds or even thousands of years.

Unless we do something about it!
